Things you need to bring with you

Although we supply a small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, dishwasher tablets and fairy liquid, toilet roll, & bin bags to start you off which is in line with our visit wales grading structure you will need to fetch extra of all the above with you including toiletries for use during your stay. Please note our American style refrigerators do not dispense ice so please fetch some with you if you plan to use any, alternatively we have shops nearby that you can purchase from.

Extra towels are advisable for the hot tub as we only supply towels for bathing.  Hot tubs are emptied and cleaned 7am on the day of your departure.

What breaks do you offer?

We offer week breaks which is a (Mon-Mon), (Fri-Fri) or (Sat-Sat);  we also offer short breaks which are (Fri-Mon) or a (Mon-Fri). Our minimum nights’ stay is 3 nights. We also offer week breaks over Christmas and New Year, please enquire by emailing: mandy@luxurylodgeswales.co.uk

How does the booking tariff work?

Each lodge is rented out on the basis of:

1-2 guests:- occupy 1 bedroom

*** If 2 guests do not wish to share 1 bedroom, and instead want to use 2 bedrooms, you must pay the 3-4 person tariff when making your booking

3-4 guests:- occupy 2 bedrooms

***  If 3-4 guests do not wish to share 2 bedrooms, and instead want to use 3 bedrooms, you must pay the 5-6 person tariff when making your booking

5-6 guests:- occupy 3 bedrooms

My card payment isn’t processing online when making a booking via the website?

Please ensure that all the cardholder details are entered correctly when attempting to make a card payment online, which secures your booking. Our payment system cannot process a payment if the cardholder details are not entered 100% correctly. 

Is there Wi-Fi in every lodge?

Luxury Lodges Wales are pleased to announce they have just installed a new satellite super-fast broadband Wi-Fi system to each individual lodge, with download speeds of 50 meg free to each lodge guest to make their stay a complete luxury experience.

Where do I check in on arrival?

When you arrive at the park, please drive up through the two white lion statues, and follow signs for Reception – This is a small octagonal brick building, just up the road to the left hand side (before the gated entrance up to the lodges).

What happens to my £100 pre-auth / damages deposit after we have departed?

As this is only a pre-authorized card transaction, we don’t actually take the £100 out of your account, this is instead held in the ‘pending’ section of your account, please allow 7-10 working days for the pre-authorization to expire.

Is there on site EV charging?

Unfortunately we do not offer EV charging on our site at this time.

Is the BBQ charcoal or gas?

You can purchase disposable BBQ trays from Reception, for use on our stands outside your lodge.

Do all the lodges have towels and linen provided?

Yes (although we suggest bringing extra towels for the hot tub, we only supply towels for bathing).

* Please note despite investing heavily in brand new towels for our guests, some of the towels we supply may have the occasional small wood stain; this is due to guests hanging the towels over the wood of the lodge (we provide clothes horses for hanging them over), however our guests are welcome to fetch their own towels should they prefer to do so.

Is using a sat nav to get to your destination a good idea?

Yes! But only to get you to the village, then it sends you down a narrow road just below us, our entrance is directly off the main road with ‘Grandstand’ on our stone entrance pillars, also brown signs in the hedgerow are pointing you in the right direction.

Do all mobile networks have signal on the park?

Yes. Vodafone is patchy.

What is the earliest time we can check in on our arrival and departure?

Arrival is between 4-30pm and 6.00pm and check-out 10am prompt. (Note any later than 6.00pm please ring to arrange for staff to be at Reception for key collection 48 hours before arrival).

Do you accept dogs at Luxury Lodges Wales?

Sorry we do not accept pets.

What household appliances are provided in the lodge?

All the lodges have the standard household appliances; these include dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer, toaster, kettle, saucepans, cutlery and crockery, microwave and Iron facilities and upright fridge/freezer. (1 hairdryer).

Do you supply cots and highchairs?

Yes you can hire these for £10 per item.

Can we arrange a grocery delivery to our lodge?

Yes, we have regular visits from Tesco, Morrisons and Asda. Please arrange delivery for after 4.30pm (on your day of arrival). You must be in the lodge to accept delivery.

Is there a pub within walking distance?

Yes we have a local pub/restaurant 5 minute walk away in the village.

Are there any good restaurants nearby?

Yes we have many very good restaurants in area. Please enquire on arrival.

Do you have supermarkets nearby?

Yes we have supermarkets in Llanidloes 4 miles and Newtown 9 miles.

Will the hot tub be ready for arrival?

We always endeavor to get the hot tub up to temperature ready for check-in time. However please note, to ensure our guests get the best experience enjoying their hot tub, as several of the hot tubs are being thoroughly cleaned on the morning of your arrival, from time to time, the hot tubs may take a few extra hours to finish heating up to the optimum temperature.

Are there things to do in area?

Are there any walks in surrounding area?

Yes we have our own walk and various others in folders for you to follow.

Are there any cycle routes in area?

Yes we have safe cycle routes and also extreme routes for more intense riders including Coed Y Brenin and Nant Yr Arian routes.

What is the address & postal code for the site?

Grandstand, Trefeglwys, Caersws Powys SY17 5PU 

Our entrance is straight off the main road, with the house name ‘Grandstand’ on two stone pillars, (there will be brown signs in the hedgerow directing you to our entrance) when driving through the village, don’t turn off down any narrow lanes, stay on the main road –  we are on the right hand side (when driving from Caersws direction).

Are all lodges the same?

Yes, although each lodge has its own unique views and position on the park, all our lodges have a ground floor and first floor, sleep 6 guests max and have similar layouts internally (the only exception is Crow’s Nest lodge which sleeps 4 guests max and is a ground level lodge only). Please note all of our lodges include a disabled access ramp except for Crow’s Nest lodge.
