We’ve collected the most common FAQs we receive at Plas Dyffryn Trannon Lodge Park. If you can’t find an answer to what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Are you dog friendly?

Yes dogs are very welcome on our lodge park.

Can I arrange a viewing?

Of course! Setting themselves apart from conventional lodges, the luxuriously inviting Vienna Lodge and the stylish and modern Amalfi Lodge are both available to view on site. In addition we also have the warm and inviting Crow’s Nest lodge, a cosy 2 bedroom hideaway nestled at the peak of the park, that can accommodate up to 4 people. We offer both existing fully furnished on site lodges, or plots ready for you to make your own, fully customisable, and personalised to your own preference. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure you get the most out of your new home away from home, designed entirely around you.

We highly recommend potential holiday home owners to have an on-site tour to really get a feel for the tranquillity and exclusivity that our park has to offer, along with the friendly vibe that breathes through the park. Whether it’s an established or potential plot, buyers can choose which they prefer (subject to availability). One of the advantages of buying one of our lodges is that all our plots benefit from a panoramic countryside view. (Please note viewings are by appointment only).

How easy is the process to buy a lodge?

Yes, recently upgraded, we offer free WiFi for all of our lodge owners to use, which includes a Nord VPN protection, so you can have piece of mind that you can access the web safely and securely.

Can I customise my own lodge?

Of course, we offer our potential buyers the chance to personalise and create your own home away from home. Our lodges are completely customisable, giving you the chance to shape, design and add your own little touch, tailored precisely to your preferences.

Can I sublet my lodge?

Yes! Earn some extra pennies whist having a home away from home to visit at your leisure. With over 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, we can offer an on-site changeover and key handover service to your guests, please discuss this option with the park owners.

What costs are involved when buying a holiday home?

A major advantage of buying a holiday home is that many costs are consolidated into your site fees. Site fees cover things like general park maintenance and security, access to on-site facilities (such as EV charging) and grounds keeping. Also consider upfront costs, running costs such as gas and electricity, and setting up costs such as décor, soft furnishings, modern technology, and customisable options in your lodge that will transform your holiday home into a personalised haven, that runs alongside your budget, and reflects your own tastes and preferences. We highly recommend our buyers take out holiday home insurance with external vendors, so you can sit back and have peace of mind that you’re covered.

What accreditations does the park have?

We are NCC holiday park members, which is a scheme launched by the National Caravan Council to ensure that we provide our lodge owners with the highest level  of service to every single buyer.

Every lodge comes with a 3 year warranty, so you can be assured we’ve got you covered.

Were also proud to be a member of the BHHPA (the British Holiday & Home Parks Association) – Established exclusively to serve and represent the interest of the parks industry in the UK, the BHHPA also offers useful advise to potential buyers.

Can I use my lodge all year round?

Yes. Providing you have a genuine permanent address elsewhere (i.e your main place of residence where you live / pay council tax) then you’re free to use your lodge during the 12 months of the year. We don’t have a closing down period, so you can enjoy watching the changing seasons from your very own home away from home.

Is there transport around the area?

Yes. We’re a great central base for exploring the local area or further afield.

We have a helipad landing area on site, and there is a train station just 10 minutes away, which can offer a direct line to Birmingham, or to coastal towns such as Aberystwyth and Barmouth. There are also taxi firms operating in the locality. Alternatively, you can reach many picturesque coastal and historic market towns by car just a short drive away.

Is there ample space and parking around each lodge?

Yes. We’ve designed each lodge with a very generously sized spacious plot, ample parking, gated access for added privacy, well maintained lawns and privacy plantation, and best of all a panoramic view from each lodge. With only 9 out of 10 plots left on our exclusive park, you can be rest assured you get an amazing view of the great Welsh countryside from whichever plot you choose.
