Should you wish to rent a property or to obtain further details about a potential booking, we will usually collect the minimum information that is required to do so. This will usually include your name, address, contact details, details of all guests within your party, along with specific information needed to deliver (where possible) your requirements for your holiday.

 

If you have signed up to join our mailing list, we will likely collect your name and contact information, along with your consent to receive future communications, special offers etc. from us.

How we store, use, and share your personal information

 

If you are renting one of our properties, enquiring about a potential booking, or have an existing booking, please note we collect, store and use your personal details as outlined above for legitimate purposes and our business interest, and within the nature of our business, namely to make the lodges available to you, and for booking and enquiry purposes. It is also used to help our business processes, procedures & site and services provided operate more effectively, and to fulfil your holiday needs. In addition, this also allows us to update you with upcoming offers, marketing and promotions, and future developments including products and services which we believe may be of interest to you. In addition, we may handle your personal information for the detection and prevention of fraud, keeping our IT systems, website and social media platforms secure, and ensuring (and updating) the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and advertising.

 

From time to time, we may also need to handle your personal information in a particular way to ensure that our business complies with our legal obligations – such instances may include: if we are requested to disclose your personal information to regulatory bodies or if we need to demonstrate our compliance with applicable laws such as any legislation relating to the payment of personal service company contractors and immigration law.

You have the right to request further information on how we use your personal information. We will consider all requests and provide our response within a reasonable time period; we will also conform to an allotted time period where legally required to do so by law.

However, in some circumstances, certain personal information may be exempt from such requests. We retain personal information for legitimate business purposes, including the minimum reasonable time  to allow us to provide our site and services to you. There are certain instances where we need to keep personal information to comply with our legal obligations, to enforce our booking conditions and agreements, resolve ongoing disputes, hold information regarding guests who have previously, unlawfully misused and / or damaged our property and lodges (as per our T&Cs), and therefore we may retain their details for future attempted bookings on our site.

These technologies are used in analyzing data and trends, administration of the sites, tracking users’ movements around the sites and to gather information about our user base as a whole. Access Statement for Luxury Lodges Wales

 

ACCESS STATEMENT FOR

LUXURY LODGES WALES, TREFEGLWYS, CAERSWS, POWYS, SY17 5PU

 

Luxury Lodges Wales comprises of 7 traditional alpine lodges, imported from Finland, and built on site here in Trefeglwys: Lakeside, Valley, Sunset, Vista, Meadow, Sunrise and Crow’s Nest Lodge.

Arrival

Guests are greeted on arrival at Reception where key handover takes place, along with a chip and pin pre-authorization transaction which is carried out on the guests card (for damages) of £100.

The Lodges

The front entry to the cabin has 3 steps which are 20cm in height, onto the decked veranda. The door is 92cm wide, including a step of 6cm in height, leading into the main living / kitchen area downstairs. All flooring is wooden and level throughout the lodge (except in doorways where there are steps/ raised wooden thresholds).

All light switches and sockets are at convenient and conventional height and locations throughout our lodges. All our lodges include a family size bathroom located on the ground floor, with either a pull cord (inside the bathroom) or light switch on the wall (light switches are located outside the bathroom door, all bathrooms and en-suites include a heated towel rail. Each lodge includes 1 x king size 4 poster bedroom upstairs with en-suite, and 2 x ground floor bedrooms – both downstairs bedrooms can be made into either a double or twin beds (Crow’s Nest lodge is the only exception – this lodge includes 2 x ground floor bedrooms, the main 4 poster bedroom includes a king size bed and the second bedroom can be made as either a double or twin beds).

All of our lodges offer an open plan kitchen, including a ceramic hob and electric oven with a drop down door, American style fridge freezer, and a washing machine come tumble dryer and boiler in the utility, also an ironing board is stored under the stairs (an iron is also provided). There is a dishwasher in the kitchen, next to the kitchen is the dining table including 6 seats; next to the dining table is a large L shaped sofa located in the lounge area, with a coffee table and large 65inch flat screen Smart TV, wall mounted (Please note Crow’s Nest lodge includes a TV in the lounge area, however this is a 55inch TV). We also have a log burner wood effect electric fire in the lounge, natural lighting is projected through the downstairs windows, along with an additional stand-alone reading lamp located near the sofa. 3 x sets of fan lights are ceiling mounted above these areas.

Our lodge stairs have a banister all the way up, to the left hand side (or right hand side in some lodges), leading to the upstairs first floor. A comfortable sofa can be found on the mezzanine landing, with a large TV (including stand), coffee table, and natural lighting from the Velux windows and balcony windows. There is a single fan light (ceiling mounted) on the landing / above the sofa area, and a further stand-alone reading light is also provided on the landing.

The landing then leads to the outdoor balcony area which includes tables and chairs, with outdoor lighting mounted on the outside balcony wall (Please note all lodges include an outdoor balcony area, apart from our Crow’s Nest lodge, which is a ground floor only lodge).

Outdoor facilities (per lodge) include a rotary washing line, grassed area around the lodge, picnic bench and metal BBQ stand (which takes disposable BBQ trays – these can be purchased on site). An outdoor general rubbish bin is also provided outside the lodge (for black bin bags of rubbish only – recyclable materials can be taken to the recycling bays provided). There are 3 steps upon entry into the lodge when entering from the front veranda. Every lodge has a wheel chair access ramp (except for our Crow’s Nest lodge). Wooden (decking) steps offer (partial) access around the outside of the lodge (ground floor level only). All our lodges include parking on a gravel surface, in front of or next to each lodge.

Additional information

All lodges come with their own hot tub on the front veranda (ground floor), this is sheltered from the elements, and therefore can be used in all weather; adjacent is the seating area (also on the veranda) which includes a table and chairs area. Our site offers on site fishing on our Carp and Tench stocked pool – located next to our Lakeside lodge (site map of the park can be emailed to guests on request). Care must be taken around the site, especially around the pool, where all children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Mobile phone coverage is good. We offer free Wifi internet access to our lodge guests. (Please note pets are not allowed).

Our lodges offer full central heating. A wall mounted heating thermostat can be controlled by using the dial (located at the bottom of the stairs), all radiators also have rad valves with a turning dial to control the heat. Storage furniture (e.g draws, bedding storage chest etc.) can be moved; however wardrobes and the vanity drawers set (below L.E.D bedroom mirror) are not to be moved from position.

Feather / down duvets and pillows are provided. All beds include pillow protectors (and pillowcases), mattress, waterproof (and standard) mattress protectors (including cotton bed linen). It is imperative that all guests inform us on making a booking should they have any allergies – please refer to our terms and conditions on our website. We also provide towels for guests, however we recommend that guests fetch extra for using the hot tub).

Bedrooms can sometimes be locked in all lodges to provide a discount for lower occupancy – please refer to our terms and conditions (and FAQs) for further information, or visit the booking calendar on our website for current occupancy rates.

We have various eateries, shops and taxi’s based in nearby towns, along with activities (days out), points of interest and beaches not too far away  –  Further information on these can be found in the lodge guest books, or on request – guests can get in touch with us prior to their arrival.

We have a train station only 5 minutes away in Caersws for guests to catch the train to destinations such as Aberystwyth, Borth, Newtown and Shrewsbury. There is also a local bus service from Llanidloes, networking between Newtown, Machynlleth and Carno, with the nearest bus stop in either Caersws or Llanidloes town centre. We also accept grocery deliveries to the lodges, such examples are Tesco, Morrisons and Asda, we just ask that our guests are checked into their lodge, prior to accepting their delivery.

 

We also offer fresh eggs to our guests from our laying hens, we have a chicken coop on site where guests can open the nesting boxes to access the eggs; all guests must ensure that the nesting box lids are shut properly after opening. Cots and Highchairs are available to hire during our guests stay.
